Our One-day Emergency First Aid at Work +Forestry (EFAW+F) courses comply with the requirements of the HSE Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

EFAW+F is recognised by the Forestry Commission England, Forestry Scotland and Natural Resources Wales.

The course is designed for the Forestry, Arborists, Tree Surgeon type Industries but also ideal for Fencers, Farmers, Gamekeepers, Hunters etc.

The course will give the attendee the skills to administer standard first aid, but also the techniques to manage a range of severe injuries which may potentially occur while carrying out their roles.

My courses are a good mix of theory, practical with plenty of hands on scenario-based incidents to bring realism to the training.

Standard EFAW Contents

• Role of First Aider
• Scene & Casualty Management
• Unconscious Casualty
• CPR including the use of Defibrillator/AED
• Chocking
• Seizures
• Shock
• Minor Injuries

Additional Contents for +F (Forestry)

• Remote working
• Self-First Aid
• Management of a suspected spinal injury
• Crush Injuries
• Awareness of Lyme disease
• Immediate management of major & catastrophic bleeds
• Use of: Trauma dressings, Haemostatic granules & gauzes, Tourniquets including improvisation.

Comment

“A very good course covering various scenarios, with a good balance of theory and practical. Marcus is very knowledgeable, with a good sense of humour and a great approach to teaching. Not your average course that would generally bore me half to death.. highly recommended” Dave Clark

“Excellent training provided to my team, wouldn’t go any were else for our courses 👍keep up the good work 👍” Luke Evans

“It’s fair to say that this was one of the best first aid training days that I have ever done and I have done plenty, with plenty of realistic scenarios including fake blood and arteries flowing it couldn’t get any better. I will definitely have the confidence if this happens for real” Alastair
